About FitThumb Sync
Welcome to The FitThumb Sync app! This app runs on your device and occasionally syncs your HealthKit information to your FitThumb portal. Simply install the app, log into your account, authorize access to HealthKit and let it run in the background making sure to open it now and then. Every time it background syncs or you open it, it'll catch up and sync all your activities from the last time it ran.
HealthKit is incredibly secure!
As such, when your device is passcode locked, the FitThumb connector cannot access your HealthKit data. What this means is that if your phone spends a lot of time in a locked state, you may not have background syncs happening very often. You may have to occasionally open the app and tap on the sync button to have the data 'catch up'.What data can sync to FitThumb?
The following data will be synced to FitThumb:
- Daily Step Count from Apple watch or iPhone steps trackng
- Workouts entered via the Apple Watch or any other app that writes workout data to HealthKit (See below)
- Workout Type: Walk, Run, Cycling, etc.
- Distance
- Duration
- Calories
- Water consumption - Typically users use third party apps that write water information to HealthKit
